Located within beautiful St. Tammany Parish, Frenchmen’s Estates is a small, subdivision of 46 homes in Slidell, LA. This up-scale subdivision was established on a former farm site in 1975. Houses are all established on an acre or more size wooded lots. Restrictive covenants assured homes would have a minimum square footage of 2000 square feet for a single story structure and 2,200 square feet for a two story structure, an enclosed garage for 2 cars and off-street parking. Some homes are located along the French Branch. Homeowners are encouraged to maintain the tall pine trees, other trees and plants indigenous to the area.

Frenchmen’s Estates is located on the East side of Slidell outside the city limits. Less than two miles from I-10 take the US-109-BR exit 265, towards Fremaux Avenue, keeping right go on US-190 BR E., turn left onto South Military road US-190 it is near the intersection of Gause Boulevard East and Military Road.
Our subdivision is within the top school district in the state.
Comprised of: Cypress Cove Elementary (kindergarten and first grade), Honey Island Elementary (second and third grades), Little Oak (fourth through sixth grades), Boyet Junior High (seventh and eighth grades), and Northshore High.
It is surrounded by the following subdivisions - Cross Gates, Turtle Creek, Lake Village, Willowood, The Bluffs and French Branch Estates.
Frenchmen’s Estates is conveniently located close to multiple shopping centers and Slidell Memorial and Northshore Regional Hospitals as well as many medical offices. Churches and other houses of worship are conveniently located close to the subdivision.
The Summit, building on the Fremaux exit (2009), will afford residents of Frenchmen’s Estates shopping, at two major department stores, a book store, healthcare facility and a University of New Orleans satellite campus.
New Orleans, Mandeville and Covington are within a 30 minute drive. Biloxi, MS is only an hour away.
There are plenty of opportunities for fishing, hunting, boating and outdoor activities close to our neighborhood.
Our neighborhood has a homeowner’s association. Dues are $25 per year and help with landscaping and signage at the three entrances. We have meeting and association events at least four times a year.
